The Good Family Visiting Faculty Research Fellowship was established to encourage research in a wide variety of fields, reinforcing the traditional and anticipated research strengths of »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s University by inviting an outstanding scholar, who is currently on sabbatical from their home institution, to join »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s University for a term of up to one year in one of the following areas: Biology, Economics, Environmental Studies, History, Physical Health Education, Political Studies, Psychology or Sociology.
Up to $30K per year will be available to support a research stipend of a visiting scholar. The income could fund a 6 month appointment every year, a one year appointment every 2 years, or an exceptional scholar once every three years.
Prospective fellows must be nominated by existing faculty members in the Faculty of Arts and Science. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s faculty members who wish to nominate a candidate must submit the following information to deanartsci@queensu.ca:
- A brief description (<500 words) of the candidates potential research project and why they would be a good fit in this role
- The candidate’s CV, including up-to-date contact information.
- A budget attachment that includes expenses related to salar(ies), research, travel, and other miscellaneous costs.
- Specify when the candidate would like to start and duration of stay
