Description:
The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures and Camões I.P. cordially invite you to an exhibit:
One Hundred Years of José Saramago (1922-2022)
retracing the steps that were taken
This exhibit consists of a set of panels created according to the personal and literary career of José Saramago (winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Literature). It represents a journey oriented towards reading and re-reading Saramago, as suggested by a passage in Journey to Portugal: "It is necessary to retrace the steps that were taken, to repeat them and to plot new paths alongside them."
